The agtech meetup is an Amsterdam based group for anyone interested in agriculture and technology: smart farming, software development, big data analysis, sensor technology and so on. All skill levels are welcome. From farmers with no knowledge of technology to tech people who do not know anything about agriculture. The agtech meetup strives to connect these worlds.
Monday, the 17th of October is the next Agtech Meetup. This time the Nederlandse Zuivel Organisatie (NZO) and Agtech Meetup jointly organise the evening program with the theme "Big data in the dairy industry" during the World Dairy Summit in De Doelen in Rotterdam.
Speaker 1: Frank Berkers MSc is senior scientist, TNO
Smart Dairy Farming: To spur Data Driven Innovations agricultural companies FrieslandCampina, Agrifirm and CRV are building an 'electronic highway' together on which information on individual cow level from farmers and other players in the dairy sector can be shared in a controlled way. The aim is to grow this data hub into a platform that can be used by all parts of the Dutch agricultural sector. The project is supported by TNO, an independent research organisation that develops knowledge for practical application.
Speaker 2: Rik van der Tol, LELY; Preventing cow disease with big data
Location: De Doelen, Rotterdam. Plate zaal, vierde verdieping
